I’m a learning designer specializing in K–12 curriculum development, with a focus on authentic assessment, skill-based learning, and experiential learning. My work centers on designing learning experiences that meet students where they are and support meaningful, real-world growth.
I began my career as a trained classroom teacher, teaching Grades 5 and 6 in Canada, and I’ve worked with children for most of my life. Much of my experience has been with students from diverse backgrounds, including refugee learners and students with behavioral needs. I love being in the classroom, seeing students gain confidence, build skills, and grow a little more each day has been the most rewarding part of my work.
Over time, I realized I wanted to create impact beyond a single classroom. I transitioned from teaching to curriculum design to work at a larger scale, shaping learning systems that support both teachers and students more effectively.
My professional mission is deeply rooted in my personal story. I was born in Thailand and raised in Canada, and through my own experiences, I witnessed firsthand the inequities within education systems, especially how students living in poverty are often underserved. These experiences shaped my commitment to designing user-centred curriculum grounded in empathy, cultural understanding, and equity.
Today, I draw on my teaching background and lived experience to design curriculum for Thai students, ensuring learning is accessible, relevant, and responsive to their contexts, so more students are supported, seen, and given the opportunity to succeed.
Outside of my professional work, I’m an amateur chef and have created two cookbooks, both of which are linked on this website. Cooking is one of the ways I explore culture, history, and identity, and it deeply informs how I think about learning and storytelling.
I’m also a passionate traveller, drawn to hidden-gem destinations and places off the typical tourist path. Travelling has allowed me to experience how education is designed and practiced across different cultures, and these experiences strongly influence my approach to learning design. Observing classrooms, communities, and education systems around the world continually shapes how I think about equity, access, and meaningful learning.
